line outLINE is a messaging app that seems to be particularly popular in Asia, like in countries such as Japan, Thailand, Korea, and Malaysia, just to name a few. Recently the company has announced that they have updated the Android app and it will now come with a new feature called LINE Out.

However it should be noted that LINE Out is actually the rebranding of the company’s call service that was previously known as LINE Premium Call. The reason for the rebranding is because the company has now given the feature a revamp and will offer up more competitive rates, so if your mobile operator’s call plans aren’t very attractive, LINE Out might be a worthy alternative.

According to its developers, the feature will only be available in countries such as Argentina, Australia, Cambodia, Chile, Colombia, India, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Philippines, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Venezuela. If your country is not on the list, it looks like you’re out of luck.

It should also be noted that the update only applies to the Android version for now as LINE has decided to give its Android users priority. No word on when the feature will make its way onto iOS devices but if you’re on Android, you might want to hit up the Google Play Store for the download.
