metal-gear-solid-ground-zeroes-phantom-painKonami’s upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be available across multiple platforms, including the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC. Now given that PC specs can be swapped out and upgraded for better hardware, your experience really boils down to what kind of gear you have running under the hood.

However for consoles, you’re more or less stuck with what Sony or Microsoft has decided to give you. That being said, if you’re curious as to how The Phantom Pain will run on the Xbox One, it has been revealed that the game will run at a resolution of 900p with a framerate of 60fps.

This is versus the PS4 where the game runs at 1080p at 60fps, although to be frank we’re not sure if many gamers will be able to tell the difference in 180p unless you’re really looking for it. However the good news is that at the very least both platforms will have it running at a pretty smooth 60fps framerate.

In fact this is sort of like an upgrade. With Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the Xbox One version ran at 720p at 60fps, so for Konami to bump it to 900p is actually an improvement, although like we said we’re not sure if too many gamers will be able to tell the difference. In any case The Phantom Pain is expected to be released on the 1st of September so if you haven’t pre-ordered the game already, you can go ahead and do just that.
