moto-360-smartwatch-review-1Word on the street has it that Motorola has a new Moto 360 smartwatch that they could be announcing in the near future, but the question is when? Could it be during IFA, or perhaps at a separate event later? However chances are it could be soon, and this is due to a recent observation that suggests that the first-gen Moto 360’s successor is imminent.

If you were to head on over to the Moto 360 website and try to customize the watch via Moto Maker, you will instead be redirected to Motorola’s Support page. If you think that this is a glitch, think again. Surfing on over to the main Motorola website and clicking its “Wearables” tab, you’ll realize that the only thing related to the Moto 360 they are selling are either the bands or protection for the watch.

All of this seems to suggest that Motorola has stopped the sales of the Moto 360 in anticipation of the launch of their next-gen smartwatch, which we have seen multiple times in various leaks. This does not really come as a surprise since we knew Motorola was planning a refresh, but the vanishing inventory on Motorola’s website could be a hint that the refresh is on its way.

While we can’t promise that the next-gen Moto 360 will be unveiled at IFA 2015, the event will be kicking off towards the end of next week, so do check back with us then for the details if there are any to be had.
