It has been a long time since Apple released a new set-top box which is why there’s a lot of anticipation these days for a new Apple TV to be unveiled at the company’s event next month. Multiple rumors and reports have surfaced over the last few days concerning the set-top box’s features and specifications, one such report has been published today and it claims that the new Apple TV is going to feature support for Bluetooth game controllers.

Casual gaming is said to be a big focus this time around and Bluetooth game controllers will certainly go a long way in making the gaming experience much more smooth on a device like the Apple TV.

According to the report Bluetooth game controllers will be compatible with the new Apple TV which will support basic motion control, joysticks and pressure-sensitive buttons.

Even though a previous report said that the controllers will feature motion sensing like the Nintendo Wii U today’s report claims that motion sensing will not be onboard these controllers which will mostly likely be developed by third parties.

Apple’s event in the coming month is all about new iPhones but fans will certainly be happy to see all of the improvements that the company has made to the set-top box. A recent report claimed that this time around the Apple TV could cost as much as $199.
