Star Wars fans, and we know there are quite a few of you, were most definitely waiting for an official poster for the new film and they haven’t been disappointed. Sure there has been a lot of talk about Star Wars: The Force Awakens and we’ve been gripped with cast announcements and teaser trailers but nothing really stokes up that excitement until the official movie poster drops. The official Star Wars: The Force Awakens posted was released at the D23 Expo.
This poster carries art by Drew Struzan, many fans will recognize that name because he designed theatrical posters for all three Star Wars prequels, he also designed posters for Special Editions of the original Star Wars trilogy.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens official poster was released at the D23 Expo where it was also handed out to attendees, it appears that the poster is exclusive to the event because there’s no word as yet if the poster will be released online as well.
A lot of Star Wars-related news made it out of the D23 Expo, Disney CEO Bog Iger confirmed that the company is going to build two Star Wars-themed parks measuring 14 acres each in Disneyland Anaheim, California and Disney World in Orlando, Florida where attendees get to have experiences like catching a ride on the Millennium Falcon.
