oneplus-2-review-16Even before the OnePlus 2 was released, the number of people waiting for an invite to purchase the handset was standing way beyond the 2 million mark, indicating that if you did not reserve yourself an invite early on, chances are you could be waiting a while until it is your turn, or maybe not.

According to a recent tweet by OnePlus’ co-founder Carl Pei, it seems that the company is gearing up for an aggressive rollout of invites next weekend. According to Pei, “Apologies for the wait. We were set back by almost a month, but finally our aggressive invite rollout starts next weekend. Pretty stoked.”

Pei also emphasized that it will be next weekend, not the upcoming one just in case some users got confused. It is unclear as to how aggressive we’re talking about as Pei decided to play coy when asked if it would be in the hundreds or thousands, but if you have been waiting a while now for your invite, hopefully this aggressive rollout will be able to reach you as well.

So far it seems that OnePlus has done a much better job of handling invites and purchases compared to last year when it was pretty much all over the place. As it stands the number of people waiting in line for an invite is over 4.3 million so like we said, if you’re still on the fence, chances are you could be in for a wait so maybe signing up for an invite now might be a good idea.
