OnePlus has joined hands with eBay to support the UNICEF Tap Project, which works on providing clean drinking water to underprivileged kids across the world. In a bid to support the project, OnePlus will be auctioning 100 OnePlus 2 invites on eBay and all the money raised through auctioning will go directly to the UNICEF.

The invites that will be auctioned on eBay, will be for the 64GB Sandstone Black variant of OnePlus 2. The company has made it clear that users will get one week of time to claim the invite and a month time to buy the device. It all started when OnePlus noticed that many users were auctioning their invites on third-party sites, and the company found the practice to be not “very fair to our fans or in the spirit of what we’re trying to create,” So, in order to combat the practice in a noble way, the company planned to auction invites on eBay with an official source.

As of now, OnePlus is auctioning 50 invites and will be releasing another set of 50 invites tomorrow. The highest for bidding is set at $355 for a single invite and with the invite reservation already crossing a million, we can see a jump in the bidding amount too. The auction will be up for bids till August 8, and the successful bidders will get their invites from August 10.
