outlook-send_storyWe tend to work on our mobile devices as much as in front of a desktop computer these days, unless you are one in a line where you would need to work with highly specialized equipment, and the modern day smartphone or tablet does not have that kind of processing muscle to handle your requirements. For the majority of us out there, typing out a Word document or crunching numbers on a spreadsheet using our smartphones are common, and if you happen to be using Outlook for iOS, here’s news for you. Microsoft has ensured that Outlook for iOS wil now allow you to edit and resend file attachments, now how about that for versatility?

It is no trouble at all to locate attachments in Outlook for iOS, thanks to a rather convenient Attachments tab which will showcase all of the files received or sent by you. However, the latest update will allow you to open the file from Outlook, make some edits to it in Word, Excel or PowerPoint, before pressing the back button in order for the recently edited file to be attached to your email reply automatically.

Should you originate your Word document, PowerPoint file or Excel sheet from within one of the apps, all that you need to do is to tap the “Send with Outlook” button in the share function, and you’re good to go. [Press Release]
