samsung-gear-s2-3It’s no secret to learn that Samsung is working on a round smartwatch. In fact a couple of weeks ago, the company pretty much confirmed it and one of its features by sharing an image during their Tizen Developer Summit. Now if you’re curious about the watch, you’re in luck because Samsung has teased the device during their event earlier today.

While today was about announcing both the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+, towards the end of their presentation, Samsung launched a short teaser video of the upcoming round smartwatch which they have officially dubbed the Samsung Gear S2. The teaser pretty much shows us what to expect in terms of design along with its user interface.

So far not much is known about the upcoming wearable but it is very likely that more details will be shared next month at IFA 2015. Also while it was not specified, chances are that it will run on the Tizen operating system since its UI definitely does not look like it could be Android Wear. The UI also seems to suggest that it will come with fitness-related features like a built-in heart rate monitor.

We have to admit that the device looks pretty good and its interface is very sleek. We especially love how they integrated the heart rate and meeting notifications into the watch face itself, providing a ton of information at a glance. In any case we suppose we’ll find out more during IFA so check back with us then for the details. In the meantime you can check out the presentation in the video below (it starts at around the 1h 13m 52s mark).
