Wireless-Audio-360-SpeakersIFA 2015 will kick off towards the end of next week and we expect that companies such as Samsung will have new products that they would like to announce, but it seems that the company is getting some announcements out ahead of schedule. If you’re after a new set of speakers, Samsung has just announced three new ones in the form of the R1, R3, and R5.

These are all wireless speakers that will be part of Samsung’s Wireless Audio 360 speaker range. You might remember some of the lineup’s models which includes the R6 and R7 speakers, and if you liked what you saw then, perhaps these models might be of interest to you, especially if you’re after wireless audio that can play music in all directions.

According to Jurack Chae, Senior Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, “With these additional models we are bringing a new kind of high quality sound to the market, with design that is simple, yet premium, and offers a more intuitive user interface. The R5, R3 and R1 will help cement Samsung’s position as a world leader in home audio.”

The three models will feature new physical control options by tapping or swiping on top of the speakers. They will also play nicely with Samsung’s Multiroom app that lets users share music across WiFi connected devices at home. In fact the app can also be used on Samsung’s Gear S smartwatch so users can control their music via their wrists. The new speakers are expected to be priced between $199 to $399 and will be available in the US and Europe by the end of the year.
