skype-androidFor a particular app to remain static as it is would be anathema – it would not last too long in the market, which is why each app ought to receive periodical updates in order to remain relevant to the times. Having said that, Skype for Android has had its fair share of updates from time to time, and fast forward to today, we have Skype 5.10 for Android that will enable users to express themselves in ways that they never thought possible. Just what kind of new stuff can we look forward to? Why not head on after the jump to find out more.

After receiving user feedback from the community, Microsoft’s Skype has continued to ensure that subsequent app updates will come with relevant chances in order to improve one’s Skype experience as requested. The same applies to Skype 5.10 for Android, where users are now able to personalize their ringtone for that unique touch. Doing so is a snap – just select a ringtone from your device, where in a conversation, you can tap the lower right before selecting “Ringtone options” then “Set custom ringtone”.

Not only that, you can also opt to forward photos from your chats, and this would include sharing photos from chats with other Skype friends and family who might be left out of the conversation. There will, of course, be the customary fixes and extra improvements thrown into the mix. You can update your Skype for Android from the Google Play Store. [Press Release]
