It has been suggested in recent reports that Sony is working on a new system software update for the PlayStation 4, recently a report mentioned some of the changes that this major software update is going to bring. Sony is now officially looking for people to beta test the PS4 system software 3.0 update before it’s deemed ready for public consumption. This is your chance to get in on the action before everybody else.

In a post on its official blog today Sony says that it’s looking for people to test out the next major system software update for the PlayStation 4. Those who would like to get a sneak peek at the new features offered by this update and offer feedback to Sony can sign up today.

The company has set up a form online, which can be accessed here, for people who are willing to test out the system software 3.0 update on their PlayStation 4 consoles. Participants obviously require a PlayStation 4 and they will also need an Internet connection and a master account, PSN sub-accounts can not participate in the beta testing program.

Beta testers will have the ability to roll back to the current public stable release of PS4 system software version 2.57 at anytime they want, beta testers won’t be stuck at version 3.0.

Sony says that it’s only going to accept a limited number of beta testers so those who are interested should sign up sooner rather than later.
