A couple of days ago, Sony posted an image on Twitter in which they teased a new smartphone was on its way. According to the company then, they teased that a new smartphone with greater focus would be on its way. In case that wasn’t enough, Sony has since released another teaser photo on Twitter.
In this particular photo, Sony basically provides a more specific time and date for their announcement, which will be taking place on the 2nd of September at 16:45 CET. Interestingly enough the phone used in the teaser has been blanked out, leaving us to wonder what kind of handset we might be able to expect.
However based on the way the phone is being positioned, it’s clear to see that Sony is angling this device as sporting a good camera. It is widely speculated that the phone that Sony plans to announce will be the Sony Xperia Z5 and some of its variants which includes the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact and the Xperia Z5 Plus.
Specs of the devices aren’t that clear yet, but leaked photos have suggested that Sony will be keeping to the same design language that they have all these years. The photos have also showed that the phones will feature a fingerprint sensor placed on its side as opposed to the back. Either way do check back with us next week for the details.
