Many gamers were understandably outraged when it was revealed that there would not be flying in the World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor. However Blizzard later compromised by agreeing to add flying to the game, but it was only attainable by completing a series of achievements.

This basically weeded out players who truly wanted flying and those who did not really care either way. Now if you’re sick of running around in Warlords of Draenor, you will be pleased to learn that according to Blizzard, Patch 6.2.2 will be introduced to the game on the 1st of September.

The patch will finally enable flying in the game as long as you have the Draenor Pathfinder: Prepare for Flying achievement, which if you head on over to Blizzard’s website you can learn more about and how to attain it, or watch the video above. It is admittedly a rather long achievement, some of which are only completable if you have an entire party, so if you’re in a guild it’s time to put your guild mates to good use.

Other changes include the addition of PVP Mercenary mode which basically allows you to fight in the Battlegrounds on the opposing faction, just in case you want to switch things up a bit. There are also your usual bug fixes and what not, so come 1st of September you will be able to get your hands no the patch.
