[IFA 2015] It looks like Acer of Taiwan intend to up the ante where the gaming market is concerned with their brand new Predator 8 gaming tablet at IFA 2015 in Berlin. A tablet used to be just that – a tablet, which is an extension of your smartphone or desktop machine, but it looks like things have gotten a whole lot more interesting with Acer’s Predator 8 gaming tablet.

You can tell by the name itself that this is the first dedicated gaming tablet in the market, where it will boast of what Acer calls the Predator Quadio, which is a combination of four front-facing speakers and virtual  surround sound, with tactile feedback being delivered through Predator TacSense.

Your eyes will be able to feast on the visuals provided by the 8” FHD display, where an Intel Atom x7 processor will keep things running alongside Android 5.1 Lollipop as the mobile operating system of choice. 2×2 MIMO wireless technology would ensure speedy Internet connectivity, while the entire device comes in an extremely thin and lightweight form factor, measuring just 8.7mm in thickness while tipping the scales at 350 grams.

Just in case the 64GB of internal memory is not enough, there is also a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes. It will arrive preloaded with Asphalt 8 right out of the box to get you starter, and you have the luxury of 320,000 game credits (approximately US$50 value) to spend. Do expect the Acer Predator 8 GT-810 to arrive in the US this November for $299.99 a pop.
