10-inch-kindle-fire-tabletEarlier today we brought word that Amazon apparently has a new 10-inch tablet in the works but apart from the leaked photo, not much was known about the device, at least until now. Thanks to a recent sighting on GFX Bench, it would seem that the specs of the alleged 10-inch tablet have been revealed.

From what we can tell, we can’t say we’re too impressed. For starters the 10-inch display is a given. However it comes with a resolution of 1280×800, which is a bit disappointing for its size. Other specs revealed in the benchmark include a MediaTek MT8135 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5.1MP rear-facing camera, and a 0.9MP front-facing camera.

It also appears to be running Android 5.1 Lollipop. Like we said these aren’t the most impressive specs. In fact it would seem that it is almost on par with the recently leaked specs of the rumored 6-inch tablet. For those unfamiliar, there have also been reports of Amazon working on a $50 6-inch tablet.

However given the specs of the 10-inch model, if true, it sounds like it will most likely end up being a budget offering as well. If you were hoping for something a bit more high-end, you might want to look elsewhere, but do take it with a grain of salt for now until we get the official word from Amazon.
