galaxy-mega-onNow here is another smartphone that the folks over at Samsung have up their sleeves – the Samsung Galaxy Mega On. If we are not mistaken, it would look as though the Samsung Galaxy Mega On will be part of a new O-series of smartphones from the South Korean manufacturer, where close to the end of last month, the Samsung Galaxy Mega On was mentioned in the same breath as that of the Grand On. We guess that these two handsets will spearhead the new range. It seems as though the Samsung Galaxy Mega On has gone through the necessary on the GeekBench benchmark for Android, which also shed additional light on the hardware specifications along the way.

The model number of the Samsung Galaxy Mega On being tested was the SM-G6000, where it had Android 5.1.1 Lollipop as the operating system of choice. Right at the heart of things lie Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 SoC, with a mere 1GB RAM that is not going to impress at all these days, as opposed to the rumored 1.5GB RAM. Ah well, we will see, since this is not the final release device just yet.

As for the rest of the hardware specifications, it has been rumored to arrive with a 5.5” 720p touchscreen display, a 13MP camera at the back, a 5MP front facing shooter, 8GB of internal memory and a 3,000 mAh battery.
