amazonThere are several video streaming services that are available to users at the moment. This includes Amazon Video, Netflix, Hulu, and more just to name a few. However Amazon wants to get the leg up on the competition by updating its Amazon Video app, which will now feature offline playback, allowing viewers to take their videos and watch them on the go regardless of internet access.

This makes it ideal if you’re planning on traveling and you know that you won’t have access to the internet for a while, or that the place you’re visiting does not have a stable connection, and you just want some stored entertainment in case you get bored. With the updated app, users can now save their favorite movies and TV shows for offline viewing at a later date.

This is only available to users in the US, UK, Germany, and Austria. We suppose we don’t need to remind you guys that this feature is only available to Prime members, so if you’re not a Prime member then we suppose this is moot. If anything this update should make the Prime membership a bit more appealing.

Not only will you get access to faster and free shipping with Amazon, but now you will also be able to get access to offline videos. It looks like the competition amongst video streaming platforms just got a lot fiercer. The updated app is available for download via the iTunes App Store.
