overwatch_referenceWith Blizzard’s franchises being some of the biggest games around and with them being so well-established, it’s not surprising that many gamers opt to cosplay as Blizzard characters from Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, and with Overwatch coming out in the future, we’re sure many gamers can’t wait to start dressing up as Overwatch characters as well.

Now the good news is that Blizzard welcomes your cosplay. In fact they welcome it so much that they want to give gamers a hand in getting their costumes right, so much so that they have released reference kits for some of the newer characters in their franchise, namely from the upcoming Overwatch title.

These reference kits basically breaks down the character’s costume and look into various parts, like parts of its armor, and gives players different angles to work with. For the casual cosplayer who is just going for a more “general” look, this probably won’t matter. However for the serious and more hardcore cosplayer, these reference kits will no doubt help make their job at creating costumes much easier.

In any case if you’d like to check it out, maybe get a costume ready for BlizzCon which kicks off in November, then hit up Blizzard’s website to check out the reference kits.
