burberry apple musicApple’s retail chief Angela Ahrendts might not be getting the same amount of attention as some of Apple’s other executives, like Tim Cook, Jony Ive, or Phil Schiller, but her presence in Apple’s ranks has definitely had an impact. So much so that it can hardly be considered a coincidence that fashion label Burberry has recently launched their own Apple Music channel.

For those unfamiliar, Ahrendts used to be the CEO of Burberry, so like we said it probably isn’t a coincidence that her former company now has a presence on Apple Music. In fact Burberry’s presence also makes it the first fashion label to have their own Apple Music channel, definitely showing how Apple is starting to become more of a lifestyle company.

So what can one expect from the Burberry channel? For starters the company plans on sharing exclusive videos of British artists who will be performing at the Womenswear show. The event will be taking place on the 21st of September in London, with Burberry hosting the video content, sharing playlists, individual tracks, and more.

It’s an interesting collaboration although we’re not too sure what Apple is trying to achieve. After all when you use services like Apple Music or Spotify, chances are you are looking for songs, not necessarily fashion-related videos. However we suppose only time will tell how successful such a collaboration will be, and if we can expect more such collaborations in the future.
