EA logoThe benefits of using services like Netflix or Spotify is that you can stream videos and movies to your heart’s content for a flat fee. This means that if you don’t like a song or movie, you can skip it instead of buying it and regretting it later. Unfortunately for video games, this is not really applicable, but it seems that EA could be reconsidering that.

The company has recently sent out a survey in which they asked their customers what kind of subscription model would appeal to them. They even put forth an idea of an all you can play subscription where gamers can play any game they want for a flat monthly fee, which kind of sounds like Netflix/Spotify for video games.

In essence this sounds a lot like EA Access, which for those unfamiliar is a service for the Xbox One that was launched in 2014. Gamers will pay a flat fee of $4.99 a month and will be able to access an ever-growing library of games. However like we said this is an Xbox One exclusive feature, so in this survey, it seems to poll the idea for PC gamers.

It sounds like an interesting idea and considering how big EA’s catalogue of games is, it’s safe to say that gamers will have access to plenty of games right off the bat. However it is only a survey meaning there’s no guarantee that EA will make it a reality, but what say you? Would you pay a monthly fee to play as many games as you’d like on the PC?
