facebook logoThird time’s the charm, or so they say, but this does not seem to be the case when it comes to Facebook. Apparently, Facebook, the world’s widely used social networking site, is down yet again for the third time in a month – which is an unprecedented count so far. This also leads us to ask, is there any website out there that is actually safe from such happenings? After all, Facebook has long been considered to be one of the safest places to be on the Internet, and to see it experience outages three times in a single month is rather surprising.

Facebook has been placed alongside Google for having one of the most secure web sites on the Internet, which makes this third outage all the more odd. The most recent outage happened close to 3:00 EST when users realized that the social network was moving at a snail’s pace, before “Service Unavailable” and “Sorry, something went wrong” error messages started to become regular guests on the monitor, not to mention the classic “Page not found” message.

Facebook did share, “We’re currently restoring Facebook services that people had trouble accessing earlier today due to a configuration issue. We’re working to bring things back to normal for everyone. We apologize to those who have been inconvenienced.” Well, it looks like things are fixed for us here, but what about you? Is access to your Facebook account still hampered?
