fallout 4Sometimes developers are forced to edit their games in order to comply with local laws. For example over in China, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft had to remove skull imagery as well as blood. In Germany, there are also strict laws with regards to violence in video games, but for Fallout 4 fans, you guys have just caught a break.

According to the German Fallout page (via NeoGAF), it has been revealed that the German version of Fallout 4 will be completely uncut. This means that there will be no edits in terms of censorship or removal of material from the game, and there will not be model swaps either in cases where it might be deemed inappropriate.

Like we said, Germany is another country where there are strict laws with regards to violence in video games. In the past we have heard of games being censored or heavily edited in order to filter out blood and gore-related scenes/fights from games, not to mention the removal of Swastikas from games as well.

We’ve seen this happen to another Bethesda game in the past, which was Wolfenstein: The New Order in which the game had to be geolocked in order to prevent German gamers from accessing the “regular” version of the game which had Nazi-related imagery being displayed in it.
