Samsung-Galaxy-Note-5-21

Samsung made it clear pretty soon after it announced the Galaxy Note 5 last month that the new handset is only going to be released in select markets, customers in other markets will have to make do with the Galaxy S6 Edge+. For now the handset has only been officially released in North America and South Korea but Samsung is gradually rolling it out to more countries and India is the next one to get Samsung’s latest phablet.

The company is going to conduct a launch event for the Galaxy Note 5 in New Delhi, India on Monday next week. Information about pricing and availability of the handset in the country will be provided at the event.

It was expected that the Galaxy Note 5 could make its way to India at some point particularly after it was reported that Samsung was working on firmware for the Galaxy Note 5 model destined for India, this told us that it was only a matter of time before an announcement was made.

Samsung is clearly adding more countries to the list of supported markets where the Galaxy Note 5 is available but for now it doesn’t look like the company has any love for Europe.

Customers across the pond can go with the grey market if they’re so bent on purchasing this handset or they can wait around until 2016 when Samsung might decide to launch the Galaxy Note 5 there.
