huawei-logoIt looks like some time next year will see the Samsung Galaxy Note5 get a competitor – an actual one, rather than one of those pseudo-phablet handsets which is all bling without much substance at all. Not only that, this particular competitor is said to hail from the folks over at Huawei, who have already started work on the upcoming Nexus devices that will sport up to 128GB of internal memory. Apparently, whispers are going around that Huawei has hunted down a stylus supplier over in China, which led to this speculation.

It is said that Huawei’s search for a stylus maker has led them down a path which will see a capacitive pen being developed, keeping their fingers crossed that it can go up against the S Pen in the Note series. Not only that, it has been alleged that Huawei’s phablet will also come with ‘palm rejection’ technology, allowing your touchscreen to ignore your palm should you hold it with a single hand even when you are touching the display with the stylus, or using the other hand instead.

Ah well, as with any other rumors, this one too, will have to wait for some time before it ends up debunked or confirmed on an official basis – but before that happens, do expect to read about more rumors along the way.
