Samsung-Galaxy-S6-Edge-Plus-13It would seem that despite us being at least half a year away from hearing about the Samsung Galaxy S7, there have been plenty of rumors making their rounds suggesting what we might be able to expect. According to the latest rumors out of Korea, it has been suggested that the Galaxy S7 could come with a dual-camera setup.

What is this dual-camera setup? For starters if it is true, Samsung won’t be the first to provide such a solution. Previously HTC had attempted something similar on the HTC One M8 and while it was a great idea, it didn’t really take. Basically the idea is that the dual-camera setup allows photographers to capture a great depth of field.

At the same time it will offer a Lytro-like feature where users can adjust the focus of their camera after the shot has been taken. We’re not sure why Samsung will succeed where HTC has failed, but perhaps branding and marketing might be to Samsung’s advantage. Speaking of dual-camera setups, we had previously heard that Apple might attempt something similar with the iPhone 7.

In any case this is one of many Galaxy S7-related leaks that we have been hearing this week. Prior to this there were rumors suggesting that we could look forward to a 5.7-inch display, and that Samsung could be considering the use of the Snapdragon 820 chipset in the phone as well.
