Having a good set of speakers is one thing. Having it properly positioned is another. After all if there are a lot of obstacles in the way, the sound quality might not be ideal. While there are speakers out there from the likes to Bang & Olufsen that can adjust itself for optimal acoustics, the HiddenHUB might be a more affordable alternative.

As you can see in the video above, the HiddenHUB is a round speaker. It can be placed in a variety of positions, like on a tabletop, underneath your speakers, or even hanging from your wall. These might not be ideal positions but one of its advertised features is that it can detect its position, and then optimize its sound so that wherever it is playing from, it will output the best sound possible.

Not only is this a clever idea, but the HiddenHUB also looks pretty good and has a very sleek design. The speakers will feature touch controls and can also be linked up with nearby Bluetooth speakers or other HiddenHUBs to create a true multi-room audio system. This will rely on being hooked onto the same WiFi network, but it can also create its own 5GHz network should you not have WiFi.

Unfortunately we can’t tell how good the sound quality is from the photos and videos. It is priced at $349 for an early bird special which will be cheaper than its retail price of $599. If you’d like to get in on this, then head on over to its Kickstarter page for the details.
