htc-one-a9-aero-launch

We have been hearing for quite some time now that HTC is working on a brand new handset, rumor has it that the device will be called HTC One A9 and that it’s internally referred to as the “Aero.” The company hasn’t confirmed anything about this device as yet but it has started sending out invites to an event on September 29th where it’s going to show off two new handsets, one of them might very well be the A9.

The invite reads “The World Best Meets The Best,” quite a vague statement which doesn’t really reveal what we can expect from the new handsets. With the event taking place later this month it’s not like HTC will start confirming details now, we’ll have to wait to get the important information.

Rumors suggest that the HTC A9 is going to be powered by a decacore MediaTek Helio X20 processor with 4GB RAM, it may also have a Quad HD display and a rear camera capable of shooting pictures in RAW. If these specs are correct then the A9 will certainly be able to hold its own against many existing flagships in the market.

We won’t find out for sure before September 29th though, and it looks like we might get a couple of Nexus handsets on that day too, Google is believed to be scheduling its announcement for the new Nexus smartphones on September 29th as well but that hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
