htc-one-a9-benchIt looks like the HTC One A9 has had its fair share of rumors before, including that of being recorded on video, as well as being known as the HTC Aero, too. Well, all we do know is this at the moment – the HTC One A9 is meant to be a flagship smartphone by the time it hits the market, and hopefully with the benchmark results that we have managed to peek at online, more is known about the handset prior to it rolling out.

Now, it is not the final product that was benchmarked here, since this is but the HTC One A9 prototype that undergone what the GeekBench benchmark delivered. For starters, we do know that the HTC One A9 will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop as the mobile operating system version of choice right out of the box, so there is no need to worry about waiting for a new system update right away.

It is also touted to run on MediaTek’s upcoming Helio X20 chipset that will feature a deca-core CPU, with two of them being Cortex-A72 cores. As for the remaining eight cores, they will be of the Cortex-A53 variety, which have been divided into a couple of different clusters in order to deliver maximum performance without draining the power unnecessarily. Expect 4GB of RAM to be thrown into the mix, placing it on par with other flagship devices, in addition to LTE Cat.6 network support, resulting in a highly respectable Geekbench score of 5884. We look forward to the HTC One A9 being announced officially at a special event this coming September 29th.
