Kodak_PixProAt the moment it is safe to say that GoPro is the defacto action camera that many would choose to take with them on their adventures. This is because the GoPro is small, rugged, and can be used in all sorts of elements. However if there is one thing the GoPro can’t do, it would be to shoot 360-degree videos.

If 360-degree videos are your thing, then you might be interested to learn to Kodak licensee JK Imaging has recently announced the PixPro SP360-4K. Camera enthusiasts might be familiar with the name and the design. In reality the PixPro SP360-4K is a variant of the PixPro SP360 action camera launched by the company last year.

However the main difference here is that this updated model has the ability to capture video in 4K resolution, so if you’d like to future-proof your footage in the upcoming years, then perhaps this is a model worth considering. The camera comes with a 12MP BSI CMOS sensor and a dome-shaped f/2.8 lens.

There is built-in WiFi and NFC and there is also an accompanying app that will play nicely with iOS and Android devices. The PixPro SP360-4K will also play nicely with a variety of accessories and attachments, like waterproof housing, suction mounts, and remote controls, just to name a few.

Pricing of the camera was not announced but given that the PixPro SP360 from last year was priced at $349, we expect that this updated model should cost around the same, if not slightly higher for its new features.
