A new software update has been released today for Xbox 360 which brings some new features that have already been showcased to Preview members over the past few months. Aside from the features that Microsoft has already talked about like Activity Feed, seeing what friends are doing on Xbox One from Xbox 360 and having the ability to see Xbox One backward compatible games in library and marketplace, today’s update brings new features as well.

Starting today all Xbox 360 owners get 2GB of cloud storage on their console, the free cloud storage can be used to save game saves that players might want to port to Xbox One for games compatible with the next-gen console.

Xbox 360 can now be connected to a network that requires a Terms of use acceptance, such as networks in hotels and similar public places, after connecting users will be told to test their Xbox Live connection after which they will be directed to login to the network.

Last but not the least whenever Xbox 360 now receive Xbox Live Marketplace codes in a message they will be able to redeem those codes simply be pressing “Redeem Code” within the message itself.

Also included in this update are Microsoft Movies & TV as well as Groove Music, and a user’s Microsoft account balance will now be shown when they’re looking at the details of a game or just browsing through the marketplace.
