nexus-5x-mintCome 29th of September, it is expected that Google will announce new Nexus handsets and one of those handsets is the LG Nexus 5X. So far we have seen plenty of leaked images and rumored specs of the handset, and now thanks to a recent FCC sighting, it seems that the device has all but been confirmed.

While the FCC filing does not explicitly mention the device by name, what has led to the conclusion that this is the Nexus 5X is based on the some screenshots uploaded by LG. These screenshots basically shows some regulatory information about the device, but based on the UI of the screenshots, it shows a rather stock design.

This is versus the typical UI that one might have come to associate with LG. Also with the Nexus handsets based on stock Android, a stock UI is more or less to be expected. Interestingly enough there are two devices that were spotted – the LG H790 and the H791. Oddly enough the listing suggests two different screen sizes.

We doubt that there will be two different Nexus handsets with different screen sizes, at least not from the same OEM, so do take it with a grain of salt for now. However the 29th of September is nearly upon us so remember to check back with us next Tuesday for the official details.
