mass-effect-theme-parkI don’t about you, but do you think that a video game franchise should actually be turned into a theme park? It is definitely not a new idea at all, as Rovio’s Angry Birds have actually gone down that route, but this does not man that it is viable for all kinds of video game titles to achieve a similar level of success in the corporeal world, too. Well, word on the street has it that there will be a Mass Effect-based attraction coming our way some time next year, where it will offer an experience that brings you to a “distant planet,” allowing you to go up against “larger-than-life foes”. This will be achieved not through insane roller coaster rides, but rather through a mix of 3D and “4D” effects.

So far the 4D rides that I have taken tend to include motion enabled seats, with wind and water nozzles all around to add some gust and splashes as and when required, depending on what is being shown on the 3D screen, of course. It remains to be seen as to what or who will make a cameo, although it would not be surprising at all should Commander Shepard and the Reapers be part of the theme park attraction. [Press Release]
