In terms of wearable technology, there seems to be a growing number of such gadgets making their way into the market. Some are fashionable and will blend right in with your regular clothes, while some look like they’re straight out of a science-fiction movie and will cause you to stick out like a sore thumb.

Now if you wanted something that is both fashionable and discreet, you might be interested in a device called the Miragii. It was announced earlier this year at CES 2015 and the device has since gone on to launch a Kickstarter campaign in hopes of raising enough money to make the device a reality.

So what is the Miragii? It’s basically a smart necklace that does a lot more than you think. For starters it contains a hidden Bluetooth earpiece, allowing you to answer phone calls more discreetly instead of walking around with it in your ear. It also comes with a micro projector which can be used to sync with your phone to display text messages and incoming calls.

While its creators suggest that it can be projected onto your hand, we suppose it can also be projected onto surfaces like walls and tables, but given that it’s meant to be worn around the neck, perhaps the hand might be a better surface. It’s an interesting idea, albeit for very specific usage, but if you like it then head on over to its Kickstarter page and pledge your support.
