periscope-androidIt looks like Apple TV is going to get a wee bit more exciting, especially with word that Apple is working to introduce a brand new Apple TV. Not only that, it seems that the folks over at Periscope are working on a spanking new app just meant for the Apple TV platform. It is said that Periscope for Apple TV will be able to make live streams a whole lot easier to watch when one is within a group setting, although clarity concerning the functionality remains fuzzy at best for now. Still, it would not be too far off the mark to say that the Periscope app for Apple TV will focus on the ability to let users watch streaming video in real time, as that is their bread and butter.

Perhaps making a move over to TV screens might prove to be a way for Periscope to be able to gain more viewers, and if it takes off in a big way, it might just help Apple to persuade consumers to pick up a shiny new device along the way, making it a win-win situation for everyone. Watching live streams might be able to help make Apple TV stand out from the rest of its rivals such as Roku and Amazon.
