ipad pro pixarOne of the selling points of the iPad Pro isn’t so much its big screen. There are plenty of tablets and laptops with screens just as big, if not bigger. Instead the Apple Pencil is probably one of the tablet’s more signature features even though it isn’t bundled with the iPad Pro by default, and what better way to test it than with people who draw for a living?

It would seem that thanks to a recent tweet by Michael B. Johnson of Pixar, Apple has decided to bring some iPad Pro units over to Pixar for them to test it out. Now one of the ways Apple has positioned the tablet is to appeal to graphic artists and people who like to draw and design, claiming that the Apple Pencil provides a near lag-free experience.

So how did it hold up? Turns out the folks at Pixar loved it. According to Johnson, he claims that the iPad Pro features “perfect” palm rejection, which for those unfamiliar means that when your palm is resting on the screen while you use the Apple Pencil, it is not registered as input which could mess up your work.

For a company like Pixar to give their thumbs up on the tablet is a pretty optimistic sign. We have yet to try it out ourselves so we can’t speak from experience, but if Pixar’s endorsement is good enough for you, the iPad Pro is expected to see a release starting this November.
