amazon-new-tablet

Not too long ago it was reported that Amazon is going to launch a brand new tablet in time for this fall which will be very competitively priced at $50, if this happens it would be the most affordable Fire tablet that Amazon has ever sold. The tablet is expected to have a 6 inch display with a price tag as low as $50, now some purported specifications of the tablet have been leaked online.

It merits mentioning here that Amazon hasn’t even acknowledged the existence of such a product so it would be best to take all information concerning the $50 Amazon tablet with a grain of salt until we know more about it.

A listing on GFXBench is believed to be of Amazon’s new tablet, the specifications in the listing show that the tablet will have a 6.7 inch 1,024×600 pixel resolution display and a MediaTek MT8127 quadcore processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB of onboard storage. It may also have a 2 megapixel rear and 0.3 megapixel front camera.

This specs don’t make it appear like a very powerful tablet so perhaps the $50 price tag won’t be too shocking when this product goes to market. The listing shows that this tablet runs Android 5.1 Lollipop but it’s most likely going to come with a heavily forked version of the underlying operating system.
