minkoff_vrHave you always wanted to attend a fashion show that’s complete with a runway, fashion magazine editors, and a dozen photographers? If you have but never had the chance to be invited to one, fret not because for a little over $20, you will be able to attend one for yourself, albeit in virtual reality.

This is thanks to fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff who will be selling the Google Cardboard virtual reality headsets from her website where they will cost $24 per piece. Through the use of Cardboard, Minkoff plans to allow wearers to attend her brand’ Fall 2015 fashion show in virtual reality, filmed by Jaunt who has helped other brands film VR-related content in the past.

This will allow users to view the fashion shows as if they were there in person. The good news is that Minkoff doesn’t plan on this being a one-off thing. She has planned additional VR content to be released over the next few months, so if you’re a fan of fashion and technology, this is something worth looking forward to.

Minkoff is no stranger to merging both fashion and tech. Together with her brother Uri, they have outfitted some of their stores with interactive touchscreen mirrors, and they are also selling various gadgets such as mobile chargers and bracelets that can deliver notifications, albeit in a fashionable way.
