Samsung took its sweet time to come out with a high-end Android tablet but the wait is finally over. Recently the company announced Galaxy Tab S2 which is now the company’s flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S2 is available in two sizes, 8.7 inch and 8.0 inch both of which are available for purchase in the United States through retailer and carrier partners starting today.

There’s not much difference between the two models aside from the different screen sizes, both tablets have a Quad 1.9GHz + Quad 1.3GHz octacore processor with 3B RAM and 32GB/64GB storage options with microSD card expansion.

Galaxy Tab S2 features a 2,048×1,536 pixel resolution display with 4:3 aspect ratio, there’s an 8 megapixel rear and 2.1 megapixel front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, a bevy of sensors as well as Android 5.0 Lollipop. The larger model has a 5,870mAh battery and the smaller one has to make do with a 4,000mAh battery.

Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon all start selling the Galaxy Tab S2 from today onwards, retail partners include Amazon and Best Buy who are also selling the tablet from today. Those who want to purchase the 9.7 inch model with 64GB storage will have to purchase it from Best Buy because this particular model is exclusive to the retailer.
