samsung-blanketOne of the two greatest commandments would be to love your neighbor as yourself, and this begs the question, “Who is my neighbor?” Apparently even those who are considered to be your long standing nemesis is your neighbor – and this is what Samsung exhibited recently at the Apple Store on London’s Regent Street. The South Korean conglomerate knows that today is the day where Apple makes available their iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to the masses, and hence a queue has formed outside the Apple Store. Samsung decided to take advantage of the situation by handing out the likes of pillows, water bottles and blankets to those in line.

While this might be considered to be some sort of trolling, or perhaps a last ditch attempt to sway those loyal Apple customers into picking a shiny new Samsung device instead, it is also heartwarming to know that this is done all in good jest. At least being in the queue is a whole lot more comfortable when you have a blanket to wrap yourself with and keep away from the bitter cold, right? Also, having a pillow is certainly better than nothing if you’re feeling all sleepy.

Free publicity at Apple’s expense might be another way at looking at things, but all’s fair in love and war.
