There’s no shortage of messaging applications for smartphones these days but Samsung feels the need to offer you another one and that’s why the company has launched a new messaging application called Socializer Messenger. It says that the app takes mobile communications “to the next level” through enhanced features and content. The app has been built on the Social Web App Platform designed by developers at the Software R&D Center of Samsung Electronics

The app itself is based on the open source Telegram for Android project which lets web apps to be shared in a chatroom without requiring additional downloads or installation, it runs on the aforementioned platform which deals with development, distribution and sharing of social mobile apps.

“SWAP connects the dots among web app stores, web apps, and the messenger,” says Kyung-Eun Park, a senior engineer at the Software R&D Center who worked on the project.

It features an intuitive search bar for easily searching new apps that you and your friends can use, those apps don’t require installation and they’ll work straight from within the chatroom. It’s basically a united application for chatting and other tasks like casual gaming.

Social Messenger is available as a free download for Android devices through the Google Play Store.
