t2-ultra-dual-lollipopIt looks like the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is starting to get more and more popular among different devices, where we saw it revealed for the vanilla Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime yesterday, and here we are with word that the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual too, would be on the receiving end of this particular update (having picked up the Android 4.4 update last year). The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual is named in such a manner simply because it happens to be able to carry two SIM cards rather than one, and is an extension of the Xperia T2 Ultra.

With the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update hitting the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual, one can only make the logical conclusion that the single SIM model too, should be able to obtain this update since there should not be too much trouble at all for that to happen. The strange thing is, there has been no word from Sony as to when this update will hit the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra, although logic dictates that it should be sooner rather than later.

For owners of the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual, just be patient and you should be able to see an update notification popping up any time now, and after installation, it should see your device’s build number bumped up to 19.4.A.0.182.
