Coolpad-RogueIf you’re in the market for a cheap Android handset, you might be interested to learn that T-Mobile has recently announced the Coolpad Rogue. Now we’re sure many of you guys are scratching your heads and wondering who on earth is Coolpad? For those unfamiliar, Coolpad is a brand from China who had recently entered into a partnership with T-Mobile.

Granted the name is still a tad unfamiliar but with a price of $49.99, it’s safe to say that this is a brand that many will get familiar with soon. According to Roger Brown, Vice President, Marketing at T-Mobile, “The Un-carrier doesn’t just spark industry-leading trends, we’re giving our customers even more options to pick the phone that fits their lifestyle. With a $49.99 price point, the Rogue is our first phone from Coolpad and the perfect addition to our affordable Android smartphone lineup this holiday.”

So what can customers expect for $50? The Coolpad Rogue will feature a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480×800. Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset can be found, along with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage expandable via microSD, LTE connectivity, a 2MP rear-facing camera, and a VGA front-facing camera.

We know those specs read like an Android phone you might have expected say 4-5 years ago, but given its asking price of $50, we suppose we shouldn’t really have expected too much.
