Satellite Radius 12_3Most laptops these days tend to feature Full HD resolutions, with some of the higher-end models sporting QHD or UHD displays. That being said if you’re after a new laptop and a high resolution is a must, maybe because you want to edit photos or videos, then you might be interested in the recently announced Toshiba Satellite Radius 12.

We should point out that the Satellite Radius 12 isn’t strictly a laptop per se. It’s actually a convertible device meaning that it can double up as a tablet as well if you prefer using it in that mode, or if the situation calls for it. It will sport a 12.5-inch display with a 4K resolution, so safe to say that its pixel density is pretty high so images and text should be pretty sharp.

Under the hood, the Satellite Radius 12 will be powered by a 6th-gen Intel Core processor and will support up to 8GB of RAM. It even comes with support for Microsoft Windows Hello feature that will allow users to log in using just their face, thanks to its built-in HD webcam that will support Windows Hello, although no word on whether Intel’s RealSense camera has made it into the device.

There is even support for some newer technology, like USB-C in which Toshiba has provided two ports along with HDMI output. Unfortunately pricing was not mentioned but the Toshiba Satellite Radius 12 is expected to be released in the US come Q4 2015 later this year.
