twitch-android-notificationTwitch is all about watching your favorite gamers stream their gaming sessions. Now some gamers have fixed schedules meaning that you can tune in at a particular time of the day and watch them play. Others might be a bit more random and only come on when they have the time, meaning you could potentially miss out on a session.

However the good news is that Twitch has since updated their Android app and has included push notifications. What this means is that if and when you want to check out your favorite streamer and want to know when they are online, this feature will remind you of that. These notifications are also customization meaning that you can enable or disable them for your favorite channels.

Twitch also notes that if you already have the app on your smartphone, you will need to enable notifications in order for it to work. However those who are downloading it for the first time will not have to do anything as notifications will be enabled by default. In addition to push notifications, Twitch has also introduce other changes.

For example tablets users can now chat in landscape mode, and the search bar has been made visible across devices of all sizes. The update is available for download via the Google Play Store or the Amazon Appstore, so hit them up if you’d like to get your hands on it.
