uncharted 4Earlier this year, Naughty Dog announced that Uncharted 4 would be delayed. Last we checked, the developers revealed that it would only be released in March 2016 which is still quite a long way to go. However given how we’ve seen buggy releases backfire horribly on developers and publishers, we suppose better late than never, right?

So what is up with the delay? Turns out it is because of the usual suspects: polishing. According to the game’s director Neil Druckmann who spoke in an interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine, he claims that the delay was largely due to the ending of the game which they claimed that they needed more time to get right.

According to Druckmann, “Even when I’m describing the ending, it’s a pretty… Well, I guess this is a little bit of a spoil… Nah, I’m not going to say it! But there is something that happens that requires quite a bit of work for what we want it to do, and again we would have had to reduce that scope and reduce that ambition to meet that [original] deadline.”

That being said, we suppose now that we know that the ending is the reason for the delay, or at least one of the reasons, we definitely have some high expectations for it and hopefully the folks at Naughty Dog will be able to deliver.
