microsoft__logoIt looks like Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system is making huge strides in its respective markets, where we have now received word that the update has been installed over more than a 100 million devices. It would be a pretty fast adoption rate, taking into consideration how we reported a wee bit more than a month ago that Windows 10 has just passed the 75 million installation mark.

This is a rather significant figure, especially if one were to take into consideration the rate of the Windows 10 rollout to date. According to official figures from Microsoft, it took 24 hours in order to hit the 14 million installations mark, before a fortnight passed and the 50 million figure was surpassed, making up 4.95% of the market.

Just what would be the end game that Microsoft has envisioned for Windows 10? Well, they are hoping to hit the 1 billion Windows 10 device mark within three years’ time, and since it has touched 10% of its goal in a matter of just two months, who are we to say that the 1 billion mark cannot be achieved? After all, there is still plenty of time left ahead, even if one were to discount the initial euphoria and excitement associated with a new operating system release that will tend to peter out eventually.
