xperia-z5-premiumYesterday Sony announced the Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, and the Xperia Z5 Premium. All phones are pretty good in their own way and cater to varying demographics, ranging from those who want an affordable device, to someone who wouldn’t mind paying a premium for, well, the Xperia Z5 Premium.

Unfortunately it seems that if you were hoping to get your hands on any of the devices from T-Mobile, you might be out of luck. In a report from CNET, it seems that a T-Mobile spokeswoman claimed that the carrier did not have any plans to carry the Sony Xperia Z5 series of smartphones.

However you shouldn’t feel snubbed. In fact when asked if the Xperia Z5 series would even make it to the US at all, a Sony spokeswoman was unavailable for comment. This kind of reminds of that time when Sony announced the Xperia Z4 as a Japan exclusive before announcing global variants of the device.

That being said if it does, we suppose we know for sure that T-Mobile will not be one of the carriers offering the handset which is kind of a pity. That being said the phone is pegged for a release in November, so hopefully by then we should know more about its availability stateside.
