apple_logo2As many have probably heard by now, Apple is said to be working on an electric car of their own. Whether or not this is true remains to be seen, but for the most part there seems to be a lot of chatter surrounding the project. While this is no doubt an interesting development for Apple (if true), we’re sure many are also wondering what would Apple price such a product?

While we might never know how much it will cost in the near future, the analysts over at Jefferies and Co. have reported offered up an estimate of their own, and according to their figures they expect that Apple will price their car at around $55,000. If you think that’s pretty expensive for a car made by a company with zero experience in car manufacturing, that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

They go on to note that just like the Apple Watch, the Apple car will be offered in multiple tiers and that $55,000 will be the average price of the car, and that they expect that there will be much more expensive versions and models that will be part of the mix. The analysts also expects that Apple could sell about 200,000 units of the car upon its release, which right now has been pegged for 2019.

Interestingly enough despite Apple’s inexperience in the automotive industry, the analysts believe that the car will be more successful than Tesla’s lineup, something which we’re sure Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk probably won’t be too happy to hear.
