assassin's-creed-syndicate-no-multiplayerSay what you will about microtransactions and how it doesn’t make sense for gamers to pay for a game and be expected to pay more after, the model is here to stay. Now if you were hoping that Ubisoft would have a change of heart regarding Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, think again because they have confirmed that microtransactions will be part of the game.

Speaking to IGN, the game’s development director Francois Pelland confirmed the upcoming feature, claiming that it will be there to help speed things up a bit for gamers who want to experience the game but don’t have that much time to spare. Pelland goes on to note that despite the microtransactions, gamers will still be able to experience the game and all of its content even if they choose not to spend any money.

According to Pelland, “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will include paid options to save time and accelerate progress. The model for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is quite similar to Black Flag, allowing players who do not have time to fully explore our huge game world to still be able to eventually acquire the game’s most powerful gear as well as other items.”

Like we said the microtransaction model isn’t going away anytime soon, just like in-app purchases. Ubisoft isn’t the first to include it and we doubt they will be the last, but either way if you are planning on getting the game, this is a feature you should probably take note of.
